Ultimately, only you can determine that. If you play professionally, you obviously need for your instrument to perform at its maximum level. In this case, you could go online and research prices to replace it; then, bring your instrument in for a repair estimate.
If, on the other hand, your instrument has sentimental value, it can’t actually be replaced. In this scenario, you would need to get a repair estimate, then determine if the cost is worth it. If it’s too expensive, we could discuss the possibility of making repairs incrementally, or you may want to just leave it as is.
1. The simplest and least expensive thing would be to replace the strings. Yours could be defective, or just worn out.
2. Another possibility is the truss rod may need adjustment, if your instrument has one. If it doesn't, there are sometimes other methods to straighten a neck.
3. If it’s not a string or neck issue, it could be that the bridge saddle needs adjustment.
Even with the best tuners, strings can slip, making it hard to keep your instrument in tune. This "traditional lock" schematic shows the best way to keep strings in place.
